By the way I got disconnected during tonight's show, the 2nd time in recent months. This was the error I got. I never used to have problems on Cmp and I had a lesser connection back then. Any ideas?

Yes, it's to do with over crowding on the Internet which causes congestion. This basically means that there was not enough bandwidth to send your data to our server. Just use a lower stream rate in AuDEC Broadcaster and you will be OK :)

You can't compare from CMP days, MANY things have changed since then, not least your computer system no doubt

I used the lowest setting possible on Audec. I know the internet is busier now but never used to have a problem and I had a worse pc and worse internet connection back in the Cmp days. Is it Bt Broadband's fault then? I did run a speedtest before my show and my upload was steady at 0.36k.
I had nothing else downloading or anything.
Is it just one of those things that can happen from time to time then?

300k upload isn't great to be fair and that is only while it is being tested. It fluctuates all the time. It maybe a newer PC but nearly every application wants to use the internet now so make sure when you broadcast that nothing else on any PC (inc. networked ones) is open. Only open the things you actually need to run to broadcast your show.

It can and does happen unfortunately. Our technology has also moved on and the lowest setting does use a little more now than the CMP times but nothing that the average broadband shouldn't be able to cope with.

See how it goes - also make sure you are not on wireless, this can be a massive killer, (I hate wireless from my ISP days. More trouble that it's worth) before anyone comes back saying they broadcast OK on wireless, that maybe so however 100's of variables effect wireless signals - even flashy Xmas lights! (no i'm not kidding!)
